Is violence an issue in your community, school, or home? Do you wish you had a tool to engage urban and rural youth about the causes, consequences and solutions of youth violence? Are you running out of ideas to engage youth who are faced with violence daily? Well, help is on the way. Our business is dedicated to providing strategies to combat youth violence, including bullying, gang membership, dating violence, school violence, and to providing positive conflict resolution strategies. LaMarr Darnell Shields and Sara Hassan developed a new innovative tool, Hands Off: Strategies to Combat Youth Violence, that is both research-based and activities-based, thus, engaging for youth of all ages.
Book Discussion and Reception
St. Ambrose Outreach Center will host a book discussion and reception on November 20th 2007 from 5:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. for LaMarr Darnell Shields (Co-founder and President, Urban Leadership Institute/ULI) and Sara Hassan (Program Coordinator, Center for the Prevention of Youth Violence) for their newly published book, “Hands Off: Strategies to Combat Youth Violence”. o RSVP for this special event please contact Sara Hassan at sohassa@jhsph.edu or 410.502.8067(Office).
